The head and girth
measurements are needed to determine the correct size.
|
| How do I determine the correct size cart? |
You'll need to
measure the length of your horses
body, chest to rear
not wrapping around. Then add 12-18" and that is the best size
shaft.
|
| What type of bit do I need? |
The most common is
the half cheek snaffle. A liverpool bit is used if you need more
control.

Can I put mini
shafts and wheels on the
horse cart to
convert it into a mini cart? |
No, the mini cart is
much narrower and lower to the ground. The balance would be off
and the weight pushing down on your mini.
|
| What is the benefit to wood wheels? |
The main reason we
use the wood wheels is to get the cart in balance. When your
horse is 15h+, its best to have 36" wheels. Otherwise the cart
is tipped back and you can't see over your horse.

Can I use 2 single
harnesses and convert them into a team harness? |

Yes, the team pole
assembly is made by another company to fit our carts. They make
mini and pony poles.

| How do my traces attach to the cart? |
Our traces have a
slit in the end, that slides over the end of the singletree.
There is a piece of leather that goes over the trace and holds
it in place.
|
|
Where can I pick
up a cart, instead of
having it shipped? |
Our carts are
manufactured in Klamath Falls Oregon and can be picked up there.
Prior arrangements can be made to pick them up at our shop in
Grants Pass.
|
| Can I get brakes on the cart? |
We don't offer rub brakes. Brakes are good for
training, but with such a light cart they won't stop the horse
from going forward. |
| How can I avoid accidents while driving? |
The main causes of an
accident are:
Dogs-Its good
to take pepper spray with you in case of a dog attack.
Taking the bridle
off before the cart is removed.
Improper
harnessing-if the breeching isn't on correctly the cart can
hit the horse in the rear when going down hill or stopping.
